ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
APOCÆLYPSE is a modern metal band driven by precision, intensity, and a forward-thinking vision. Created and fronted by guitarist-turned-vocalist Ira Black (Vio-Lence, Metal Church, I Am Morbid, Lizzy Borden, Westfield Massacre), the band marks his debut as a lead singer and primary creative force, writing all music and lyrics. A veteran of the Bay Area thrash legacy with a relentless global touring history, Black pushes into new territory with APOCÆLYPSE—blending aggression, melody, and cinematic scope into a powerful, contemporary sound. Joined by his son, Ira Black IV (classically trained guitar), bassist Matt Snell (former Five Finger Death Punch), and drummer Lonny Pasillas (former Kill Devil Hill), the band delivers a dynamic, hard-hitting lineup.
Their debut song, “INTELL-I-GENTS,” is a cyber-industrial anthem exploring AI, surveillance culture, and the cost of convenience, brought to life with production by acclaimed producer Kane Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed). APOCÆLYPSE’s debut 10-song albummastered by Maor Appelbaum is slated for release by August 2026, with three singles and videos arriving over the summer, setting the stage for upcoming tour dates and festival appearances.
